Freeze plugs?
Hey ya'll. Any weird reason for blowing out a freeze plug? All I did was install my HX35 and play with the fuel screw and AFC. It scared me a bit because I had just used up my fire extinguisher on a grill fire and when the smoke started coming up thru the 4wd shifter boot, I knew that I didn't have anything for flames. Luckily only a green lake under the truck. The plug was a rubber type. Looks like it fell apart. Thanks for any responses

Those rubber plugs are not the best thing. I had a buddy with a 440 and he popped them out all the time. Ended up putting steel ones back in. High rpm's will even pop them out. Some high rpm guys take half the impellar blades off the water pump or run a electric water pump.
