If this happens to you, check for the spring.

The other day I was changing my fuel filter out (Fleetguard) and when done the WIF light would not go off. I even tried a new sensor and still would not go out.

The following day I changed the the newly installed fuel filter with another fleetguard and installed the old sensor. Light goes out.

It appears to me that the prongs on the sensor was hitting a coil spring that was in the WIF cavity. I didn't look in the cavity oif the new one I installed to see if it had a spring in it. I discovered the spring after I removed the WIF sensor from the filter that I could not get the light to go out on.

DO THESE FILTERS HAVE A SPRING IN THEM?????????

I'll know for sure when the new filters arrive from Geno's garage next week. I'll let ya know.
