I put a repair kit from chrysler into the steering coupler down by the steering sector, but after replacing all pieces (pivot pin/metal blocks/clip/roll pin/rubber) I ended up having a little pin 1/4" long by 1/8"diametre left over, where the heck is it suposed to go?thanx

In a small 1/4" long by 1/8" dia hole!! Sorry, Not for sure but they might have changed some designs over the yrs and that pins is for other yrs. If not try to look at a FSM or chiltons, something with a breakdown view of the steering coupler parts.

hey redhornet check out my photos and see the rack and pinion boot i slipped over the shaft. if your in the mud alot it will stop dirt from traveling down the shaft (bad seal design)and filling the joint with muddy water. since i did that i have not had to replace the joint ever again and its still tight

Its a good Idea yup, wish I had a boot handy, what I did was to just leave the old rubber from the coupler on the shaft, that way when water runs down the shaft it hits the old rubber and runs down, not as good as a boot, but its better than going naked.
