Just wondering what you all thought. I know the PS intercooler would probably be cheaper but this one is plug n play which I like.

On my 89 I had to fab no mater which way I went. I decided to go powerstroke due to it being a big unit with 3 inch ( actually 3 1/4 inches ) invert and outlet. I paid 150 for mine. They said if it did not pass a pressure test just bring it back for a full refund. Could not go wrong.

There may be a reason nobody has one... I know nothing about this product, but if absolutley no one is running one, I would have serious secong thoughts about buying one. Thats just me though.

If I recall correctly it is the same size but a more efficient core design.
I would suggest the PS for the money or Hellmann performance to go all out.

I only know of one person running a PDR IC. He isn't a member on this site. He has had no compliaints with it.
New Era diesel has a drop in replacement for our trucks. It is rated for 100 PSI and 50% more flow. 3" in and out tubes are an option. It isn't cheap eather.

I gave Joe Hellmann the measurements and he made it from scratch.
Mine has 3.5" inlet and outlet. I'm sure he can make whatever size inlet/outlet you want. Three inch is the most common.
The intercooler itself will go right in; slight sheet metal trimming and pushing out your a/c condensor and grill about a 1/2" is required
If I had to do it again I would tell Joe to make the inlet/outlet tubes a 1/2" shorter; would make squeezing by the condensor waaaay easier instead of forcing it and will still leave plenty to clamp the boots.
