First Gen Hitches

Hey Guys, I was wondering what kind of bumper pull hitches you all are using. I am looking to get a new one and was wondering if any company makes a class V hitch for our trucks. Also which brands do you find the best quality? I know of Putnam, Curt, Torklift, Resse, any suggestions would be great.

Put a "Draw-Tite" on the 93 and it fit great, and the mounts go way back onto the frame and are held on with 3 big grade 8 bolts on each side.

My 92 has a Draw Tite on it also, interestingly enough, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch and Reese all list the same part number and what looks to be the same hitch with a different sticker...

I have a Curt class V hitch on my truck. The only reason that I bought it over a Draw Tite, is it was $100 less than the class IV Draw Tite at cost that I was going to buy where I work. They have them at JC Whitney, but the price has gone up, as they were only $150 when I bought mine. The Curt class V's are only 2" recievers too, as opposed to the Draw Tite's 2 1/2".

That is the one I have on there now and it looks to be original. The reason I'm looking into a new hitch is it looks to have cracked a weld. Anybody run one of those torklift hitches they make one for our trucks, they look crazy strong?

IDK what the torklift hitch looks like, but mine has 2 receivers, it attaches to the tow bumper, to the frame once, then it goes back another 18" or so and attaches to the frame again. That thing will never rip out!

Waldo, I have the torklift and LOVE it. The ratings on it speak for themselves. I have a 11 foot Lance camper I put on rig and tow a 7000 lb trailer with the 36in extension. According to their specs I'm good for 10,000 trailer weight and 1000 lbs tongue weight. I realize this exceed the truck rating but I know the hitch wont go anywhere.

I have a Reese Titan hitch. I have towed as much as 27k with it and never had any issues. I dont mind the 2.5" receiver. I only use a pintle so no biggie.
