First Attempt At Twins...
Still got a lot of work left to do.
Here are some pics of my progress so far...

I know, the hot pipe is pretty long, but I'm hoping that since its schedule 40 and going to be header wrapped that it will hold enough heat.
Most of the people I have shown the pics to are like "what was wrong with it before?", or "why not put just one big turbo on it?"
If they have to ask, they probably wouldn't understand anyways.

Looks great!! Get all the cold piping covered in something and they will look even better!! Great job on grinding the welds. All the piping looks as though they are 1 piece!

Thanks for the compliments guys! The sleeper look is what I'm shooting for. One look at the hub caps and running boards and people are like "look at that old slow truck", but things aren't always as they seem... I left room between the top turbo and cold pipe to put a 3" compressor elbow and intercooler tubing, but a bigger intercooler is not in the budget for awhile. I still have a lot of things to do to it; like the pipe to the intercooler, put a turnbuckle on my wastegate, mount/brace for the big turbo, put the drain lines on, paint everything, etc. When I get more done, I'll post more pics.

Something you might consider Josh Ayers suggested I do. Put that wastegate hose fitting in the s400's compressor housing instead of the s300. This will keep the wastegate shut a little longer to help get the big charger spooling. I haven't tried it yet however. The twin truck has been down since SDX 2009. He said it helped his truck spool alot better.

Thanks, I may try that when its running. Most people have suggested opening the wastegate at around 25psi. How do you have your truck set Bill?

Biggest things are making a downpipe, brace for s400 and oil drains. When I get parts in for that stuff I should be in business. Work and a wife are necessary distractions also, so I don't get to work on as much as I would like. I hope to get it running soon.

Now and when it ran a 556hp run at SDE'09 I had the wastegate plumbed the way you have it. I tested it, and it's set to OEM BW specs at about 38psi. Once I get the funds for a dual disk clutch I'm interested to see how plumbing it into the cold pipe or s400 compressor cover will change things. What get's me is I would drive the hell out of the s400, it would run between 35psi and 40psi at full tilt. But at my intake I would only see around 65psi, maybe upwards of 70psi. It's some work tuning the twins and the afc for max hp. If I only had my own personal dynojet in my backyard.

Thanks for sharing that info Bill, I don't know any one that lives around here with a twin turbo ve truck to ask all these questions or to help with tuning. I know I'll just have to mess around with the wastegate to see what works best, but it can be confusing. First, I think that I would want to let the wastegate of the s300 open right after it starts to spool so that I would have more exhaust heat/velocity going to the s400 to spool it. But after I think that, I think, hmm, the harder the s300 spools, the more air it pulls through the s400 to spool it. So I would want the gate to open later. I don't know which theory is correct or what combination it takes to get it right. If you get that dynojet, you'll have to let me hang out for a weekend.

Okay, I've got to bring this thread back from the dead for a minute...
My old computer died a long time ago and I never got around to posting any more pics or updates. Well, I finally got another computer. They're not the best pics; some were taken after dark but they're better than nothing.
Primary brace (Oil drains are no longer teed)
5" downpipe vs. stans 4" downpipe
Painted and header wrapped downpipe
A few pics of it painted, etc. Downpipe is not on in these pics because I was cleaning and painting it at the time...

I used #12 Parker Pushlok hose for my drain lines. I originally had them teed together, but my bottom turbo is too low for the way I ran the lines and oil did not drain correctly. I ended up welding a fitting in the oil pan and draining the primary that way. EGTs are no problem, with a max of 1250 degrees when brake torquing it in 3rd gear. I'm not sure what my overall boost is yet. It easily pegs my 60psi gauge. After a few months I finally ordered a 100psi gauge with memory this week.
