Finally got truck Dynoed

The answer is easy. Nonlockup transmission. Time for a Getrag or maybe even a 47rh. The graph shows it makes power like a pump would make with a 366 spring, power band out to 3k+. Getrag time.

It smokes like a freight train until the turbo spools. Then it seems to clean up to a medium haze. I would think the hp would drop off if it was running out of fuel (I have no experience with this, so just my guess). Dave, can the case pressure drop without the lift pump psi being low? It holds pretty steady around 13 psi when floored. I also need some edumacation on how the ksb works. I know it increases case pressure which increases timing to help out in the cold. Will it increase the total overall timing when turned on? Does it make the timing increase faster than normal? How much timing can it add? I did a search, but didn't find what I was looking for. Ok so for our dyno day in November we will hotwire ksb, maybe try some more timing, maybe try to get the powerstroke intercooler in and an air horn and gut the grid. His truck has a bhaf, but the intercooler and tubing and air horn are stock. Maybe it needs better airflow??? His exhaust is 4 inch all the way to 6 inch stacks, and he has an ats manifold so the hot side of this truck is free flowing. Bgilbert, I know non lockup sucks, but it has a 90+% converter. I would think it would put enough power through to make more than 600 ft lbs. He is moping around like somebody killed his dog since he dyno'd......

If the dyno operator knows his stuff he should be able to give you a slip-rate graph like this, to see how much you're losing through the trans. Keep the dyno recording after you hit the brake and slow down and you can get the no-slip mph number just based on gearing. Divide that by the mph/rpm number as the truck was under power, and bam, there's your answer.
On my truck the slip rate at 65mph when I was at full boost with nitrous, was about 22.5% (43.64/35.61) but even by 70 mph it had come down considerably, to about 18%. 20% is about the most you want to see down low, as RPM rises the converter becomes more efficient and your slip should decrease.

Dave, can the case pressure drop without the lift pump psi being low? Yes. You can have good input pressure but still lose case pressure. It holds pretty steady around 13 psi when floored. I also need some edumacation on how the ksb works. I know it increases case pressure which increases timing to help out in the cold. Will it increase the total overall timing when turned on? No. Does it make the timing increase faster than normal? Yes. How much timing can it add?
