I don't think its the dyno, I went with him and dyno'd as well. I pulled 331 hp and 748 ft lbs. It loaded mine down just fine in 5th gear. They dyno'd SMKHZRD's truck in OD as well.

dyno # are really only good for comparing trucks on the same dyno/same day or tuning a truck on the dyno making pulls and changes while strapped on. ive dynoed 4 different times, #s ranged from 298 with my old set-up to 400+,all #s uncorrected supposedly. it takes rpms to make hi hp #,s. not the ve pumps strong point. my truck usually peaked around 2600 rpm, tq at 1900. you need the truck set up to light the turbo quik to take advantage of low rpm fuel. dont over fuel to much pre boost. to get much more than 300hp uncorrected out of the ve pump on a realistic dyno without alot of work i think is tough. your truck looks good, i think you can get better #s. as was stated make sure the dyno loads enough. good luck.

With an almost brand new Goerend converter, it's highly unlikely. Richie has a bone stock tranny in his '89 and almost put down 300rwhp.

You said you saw 40psi on the dyno right? Is that the same boost you see on the street?

How close is the pump to "maxed?" Mine picked up 25 hp with another half turn where it would almost run away.

First we turned his fuel screw till it was bottomed against the threads on the fuel screw, in increments of coarse. Still had more to go, so I tig'd about an 1/8 inch to the end of it. We put it in and turned it some more. We fired it up, with no throttle, and motor revved way up on its own and came back down on its own. I had always thought that it needed some rpm to run away. Its about 1/4 turn back from there. I did mine in the same increments, and it just started to linger at higher rpms so I backed off a turn for safeties sake and left it there.

Did the power curve flatten out, or just start to drop off after 2300?

Here is a graph of SMKHZRD's uncorrected numbers. The numbers he gave you before were corrected. This dyno program has 6 different correction options and they all change the numbers a different amount. I have no idea what they all mean so I made this graph uncorrected.

Do you have a video? Does the exaust look like it cleaned up a lot in the higher rpms? Its possible you just ran out of fuel. The rpms are there but no more power. Have you confirmed you have full travel on your throttle linkage. Either you need more timing so you can burn all the fuel at highrer rpm or you needed more fuel, depending on smoke output. Just my guess.
