finally drove my new truck
and as it turns out I love it other than the interior and body that lets air through like a motorcycle. This is my 92 4x4 stick and on the roads I drive it is smother than my 2wd and got way better MPG I could tell even without the speedo working(done the same trip lots of times). Also after doing the math I was running 80-90 at times and would have never guessed it was crazy smooth.
Heres the fine ride.

at one time after the tach decided to work again I was at 2700 RPM thats a little over 90 but I was running with traffic probably 75-80 MPH I didn't have a tach or speedo most of the time so I just ran with the flow. 60ish for half then hit I-75. I pushed a little harder than I normally would but had to test it. Now to put a body on it

I used www.4lo.com for the calculator they have a lot of useful formulas so I'm rreally not sure what the speedo would have said. It's 3.55 gears and a 5 speed. My 93 auto with 3.55s will run 100 without much drama. I think I'm in love with the 92 now though.

Well not much drama to me is probably wound pretty tight to most the 93 will run 100 without issue but it's all in at that point. I usually run 65 in it as the MPGs drop off fast after that. I did run around 90 one long day (4am) towing for 45 miles crossed the bridge had 45 miles left and decided 20 hours was long enough to spend behind the wheel so the hammer went down. The 92 still had about half pedal left at 2700 in 5th so it should get up 3000 without issue thats a little over 100.
As for being being high for the old rigs I'd imagine the chassis would be pretty stable well over what the engine will push it they are long and heavy good mix for stability.

It's got the 3200 RPM spring and the pump got adjusted a little, still have a little more room to up the power for free. I can't leave it stock when it's so cheap to do the little things. One of the kids in the shop class I work in put the spring in with some close supervision.
