Talking A Few DUMB questions

I am new to this forum as a member (This is my first post also) but have been stealth surfing for a while now I have a few questions about the ve pump as i do not know if these will work 1st ?(will the second gen injectors work on first gen cummins look the same as stock ones but havent actually tried it) or should i just get
P.O.D,s and not mess with it have a tweaked ve pump homemade ole smokey pin was wondering about the afc starwheel i believe it is called what is the standard if i should say that for clicks or turns to get noticeable gains and also many thanks to the members of this board for the multiple 1st gen fix it tricks like the low oil light and screwy fuel guage tricks as all so far have cured the problems i have encountered

The 2nd gen injectors won't fit the 1st gen lines, and the pop pressure is too high. POD's are a good bang for the buck.

With stock injectors you want to run the starwheel as low as possible without making too much smoke for your taste. With big injectors you want it up as high as you can without putting the spring in coil bind and limiting travel.

2 clicks? That won't make a difference at all, make your adjustments in 2 turn increments. It's not a sensitive adjustment.

Don't go nuts with the smoke, black smoke is just wasted fuel and it won't help you spool any faster. Run it down until you stop noticing an improvement in spoolup, go back up until it feels worse, then pick somewhere between those two points.
