Factory Shift Speeds

What exact are the factory shift speeds

Going from 1-2

Then 2-3

And 3-OD

What speed should the tranny shift at?

There's no spec for it. It varies depending on what rear gear and tire size you have.

mine are at about 17mph for 1-2 and 27mph for 2-3 and about 35 for 3-4 with my potentiometer all the way down, i am satisfied with mine but all of us have different preferences, if you like it its probably good as long as it is not over-revvin the motor

Well i am just wondering. Because after i had my tranny done up, my shift speeds changed drastically, 1-2 is 12 mph, 2-3 is 21, and 3-4 is 34, running it easy. I like it

But when i lay on it 1-2 is around 22, 2-3 is around 40 and 3-4 is around 65

The TV cable was probably out of adjustment before.

Dean, it is dependent on TV cable, throttle valve length, pressure and how much power your truck makes.

Do you have a tach? When setting up full throttle shift points, you tailor it to where the peak power is for the truck.
