factory air scoop thing on core support (pics)

Cool factory air scoop thing on core support (pics)

On our 91 there is a factory scoop thing under the truck in the front of the pass. side wheel well.well we wanted more air to our swiss cheese box so we cut a hole above the scoop into the wheel well to bring outside air up and around the box.

here is the scoop from underneath with the hole already cut out on top


here is it from the top in the engine compartment


this is it when it was all done you can see the scoop right below the air hose thing


and heres our airbox that still looks stock and will definely pass inspection


i think this would make a great sticky but just throwin the idea out there to get more air for any of you guys that dont feel like fabricating a big or deal

your best bet would be to cover the air box to stop all the engine heat from getting sucked in.. hot air = less power. directing cold air in is a good idea
