F/W drain petcock

Mine is leaking a steady stream and I cant keep a prime no matter what I do. Where can I get a new one or at least a new seal for it? I was going to swap in a Fleetguard FS1221 to delete the whole problem but I am leaving next week and need to get it fixed quick, would some RTV do the trick or what. Thanks

There should be a hose-nipple on the bottom, providing it hasn't gotten broken off; 3/8 ID ??I think?? .

Ascertain the necessary hose size, then clamp a bolt/plug into a short length of hose, stick this plugged hose onto the water-drain, and clamp.

The necessary length of hose is about two inches.

This will plug the hole and stop the leak.

It is not leaking from the hole itself. It is leaking from around the inner part that you push up, I already have the hole plugged and the fuel still comes out around the movable inner piece at an alarming rate.

I know there is an O-ring above the fuel pre heater above the screw on filter. If you unscrew the filter you should be able to loosen the threaded stud and remove that heater and get to the O-ring. I didn't read the whole post sorry about that.

If it is the probe itself you can get one at "Genos Garage" - just google the name and you can find them.

Here is the link www.genosgarage.com

Go to Dodge - Fuel systems - fuel filters

Cost $25.95 + shipping.
