"extreme make over...dodge edition"

well fellas. finally tore into the truck over spring break. rebuilt the rear axle: 1 ton shoes, drums, wheel cylinders, springs, self adjusters, bearings, seals....rebuilt the front: king pins, all wheel bearings seals and races (mine were shot seeing as the front would shake at 60mph) did the u joints, rotors, calipers, pads, tie rod ends. took me 5 hours to sandblast the frame...left for a track meet and came back and painted the frame. had the seat re-upholstered, re-did the door panels (new armrest and painted the panel itself) thanks for the advice on that dnr!

still gotta do the brake lines, motor mounts, trans mounts, cab mounts, replace the left floor-pan/rocker panel. still gotta paint the dash and other interior pieces. fix the very rear of the frame so i can get the last two bolts on that hold my bed down. started on body work for the hood and fenders. im hoping to have everything done for prom. june 11. not sure if ill make that deadline or not. its killing me not having the truck lol. i miss my straight pipe and rolling through the gears

hopefully have all the pics up tomorrow!

just think with all the money i have into the truck i probably could have 400hp instead of a practically new ride lol

But now you'll have a "new" old truck, the 400hp can come later since you'll still be driving the truck 20 years from now.

Nice work so far!!

thanks for the compliments! thats what timmy22 told me. since im building it from the ground up it will basically be new lol. i dont plan on selling it, ever. haha. paint im not sure on, its between white or the standard metallic navy blue that came on the trucks. luckily my boss, who owns the shop/hoist let me work off so many hours so i could sandblast everything and use his tools.

the last 4 inches of my frame were shot, so i took 4" flatbar and bent it into a c channel, cut the old section out, welded the new one in. luckily all the holes i drilled for the bumper and bed lined up!
