exhaust leak

I have had an exhaust leak for a while right after the turbo. I finally pulled the clam and i found that it is cracked and i saw that the flange on the downpipe is not sealed all the way around. Is the downpipe supposed to not be all the way sealed up around the flange and where can i get a new clamp? I went to the dealership and they want $30 for the v-band clamp.

What do you mean by "not sealed all the way around?"

the flange on the downpipe that connects to the turbo. I can look at it from a couple angles and see daylight through some cracks on the flange

ya. I have 3 inch all the way behind the axle with a turndown and it sounds good, but im hoping that 4 inch pipe after the downpipe will make it sound deeper. How does yours sound 1bad93?

Got Rip Rooks 4" turbo back on mine to 5 inch mitres, man it sounds so awesome. I would say like riding on the hood of a ticked off Peterbuilt.

What did this system cost you and did you have to do any modifications for the down pipe to fit?

Right off the top of my head, the down pipe was 190 and the t case pipe was around 150 or so, cant remember exactly. Rip has full exhaust systems or can get you just the pieces that you need. The down pipe fit fine and the tcase pipe too, but it did rub with the rear bolts on the front drive shaft a tad. A little work with a Cajun Do It To It Tool (big hammer) gave me right at 1/4 of clearance with no more trouble. The t case pipe was an exercise in patience to get in, but it does fit. It was kinda like playin Tetris, flipped it over a thousand time before it just slid right in. Rips site is www.sourceautomotive.biz should you want it. I spoke with him personally when ordering and his service is second to none.

The stack kit I got from rollinsmokediesel.com and was right at 750 bucks. MBRP stainless. Rolling smoke I must say also has excellent customer service.

Hope this helps.
