My father in-law bought a "drop in" re-manufactured "first gen 6BT" from Rhino Re-manufactured engines The company that rebuilt it was Reviva

He's having trouble getting them to call him back for service work. The engine surges at an idle when at operating temp, and it has less power than his 850K mile motor did.

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever dealt with these companies?

Did you swap over your old pump or using a pump that came with the engine.?

He used the pump that came with the engine. They say the dyno tested it for factory specs............ He said it doesn't have the power that the worn out 850K motor did plus the surging........... I figured it was the punp. What stinks is he just had his pump rebuilt 5K before he got antifreeze in the oil.

But they wouldn't warranty the engine if he swapped out the pump..........

that crap what does a pump have to do with the engine, if a baring was bad because it was instailed wrong or was bad from the begginging they wouldnt warrenty the motor because the pump wasnt stock?.......

That's what they said. If it wasn't on the engine when they sold it to Dad it was exchanged out with other parts the warranty was voided........
