Where does the fuel pressure guage hook up at?

Fuel pressure gauge is a good start. Also, as said before, even if You don't need it (after so many miles You do) it will not hurt if You put a new lift pump and maybe even rebuild the injectors.

Any Diesel performance website will have fuel pressure gauges. even this forums store has autometer fuel pressure gauges and they come with everything you need in the kit.

You need a T fitting . the fuel line from the lift pump goes into the T and out the other side and the Gauge is hooked up to the | part in the T . so fuel comes from the lift pump into the guage then out of the gauge and up to the inj. pump and then you'll se what kind of fuel pressure you have and whether your lift pump is bad.

there may be an easier way to do it. someone will chime in.

you can get a gauge from a lot of places. It does not have to be anything fancy if you are only going to use it to diagnosis problems.

Used one of these and stick in inbetween the the fuel filter and the injection pump.

to drive down the road and monitor you will need it in the cab. but just to check and see if the lift pump is dead hooking it up under the cab would be fine. If you plan on adding more power down the road i would just hook it up in the cab because you will want it in there in the future.
