July 2006 issue of DieselPower magazine did an article on ECT basics that includes all of this pre/post turbo info. Chack it out. Said at idle, should be close, at WOT and heavy (?) boost, expect around 300- 350 degree diff in the readings. Cruising speeds were around 100- 150 degree diff. \The full article says it alot better.

Oh, and I believe the trail is iced over...even in mid-summer. They should put signs at the top or something.

I have seen 1400 Degrees post turbo twice, at wide open throttle, at close to 100 MPH, The engine is still running like a champ with close to 300K miles on it. Go figure.
I see 1200 all the time on both my trucks post turbo. Just dont hold it there back out of it
