i called southwest wheel today to order a set of the 058 16x8 and he told me to try and contact american eagle wheels themselves to see if they would fit my 92 w250, i know some of you guys have them, how'd they fit...heres the page i was looking at http://southwestwheel.com/alcoadodgeram2500.htm

i know my lug thread size is 1/2-20, whereas the lugs he sells is 9/16-18

any words of advice?

Get 0mm offset or a little negative offset, DO NOT get positive offset. They will look silly.

Most all aftermarket wheels come with 9/16 holes, just buy some long chrome lug nuts with the 30* cone seat and they'll work great. That's all i did and I have american racings

Wheres waldo has 058's on his truck. We test fit them on mine to try and eliminate a vibration I am having. They fit on my 2wd ok. The definitely fill out the wheel well a lot better than stock. He's running 265's and 16x8 rims. I am not sure if he is using any special lugnuts or not. Its a close fit on the front but it didn't rub at all. They are just about the only aftermarket wheel I really like on 2wd single wheel trucks. Duallys look great with alcoas, 4wd look good with lots of different rims.

Only reason i went with AR's is because the 058's weren't coated at all. Just bare polished aluminum. I'm not big on polishing wheels, lol

I have AE058's on my 1991. They are 16x8...i believe the backspacing is about 4". I put them on about 2 months ago along with a new set of 265/75/16 Kuhmo Road Venture ATs. They look and ride great and give the truck a little more aggressive stance. I like the fact that they arent clearcoated because they will never peel or fog up..but I dont mind polishing them occasionally and they can be brought back from the dead if you neglect them. Summit Racing sells this wheel and a has a detailed description including offset, backspacing, weight rating etc. on their website.

And spend an extra few bucks and get stainless center caps and long shank (2" or more) lug nuts. Conventional length lug nuts will cause the impact socket to contact and scratch the wheels or center caps and regular chrome center caps rust no matter how clean you keep your truck.

I had a couple of sets of 058's for my old super duty. They are a good clean looking wheel and they are rated to handle around 3,000 lbs per wheel iirc. FAr as I am concerned you can't bet em' for the look, strength and price.
