That sounds about right.
It is tougher than it seems to hit 400 hp though.
Matter of factly speaking the right dyno could show you have 450 hp.
I have dynoed as high as 490 diesel and 565 with water, but with correction factors being used, it just isn't accurate.
Use only uncorrected numbers. If everbody did, it would be much easier to get accurate comparisons.

And either New ERA 435's which are 5x.014 = .000769 (twice as large as stock)

Or

A set of New era customs , but I dont think I would need them to get 400HP.
Again truck will be used Mostly street, some Tow, and a little local fair sled pulling.
I'd say save the money on the fuel pin, grind your own, which is what PDR is doing anyways. Skip the ahole filter setup, get a BHAF from NAPA or anywhere, Fleetguard pn is ah19037 or NAPA 2730. If you have a Bosch distributor nearby get the spring from them, MUCH cheaper.

Get the s300 from HTT, or make sure you're not getting a Power Master knockoff s300 or whatever it was called that PDR was selling cheap awhile back. Lookup a nearby HTT dealer on their website, buying from a dealer is much cheaper than HTT list price.

EDM'd 6x16's will make it much easier hitting 400rwhp. The only injectors I've seen do it have been by Buddha Power (expensive) and Scheid Diesel. Maybe GLHS will sell you his sissy ddp4's and then buy a real set of EDM's, he'd be in the 11sec range.

Besides, towing with 400rwhp is gonna be HOT. Might as well choose now what you want to do with your truck. You'd most likely need twins to keep cool 400rwhp towing 14k lbs. But then you wouldn't be able to sledpull with it at the fairs. Then if/when you do that, you wouldn't be able to tow or drive home with it afterwords. These 1st gen trucks aren't the best set up for truck pulling, sorry.

Post a link if you know where I can get a S300 62/65/14 at a good price.
Doesnt need to be local with UPS.

Also can you have to much injector? If not I will get the 6x16's.

I suppose , with what I am hearing, I want to set a platform for twins(lower egts) at a later date. Looks like the s300 in conjuction with a S400 is that platform. LMK, if I am wrong.

Thanks for posting

I meant nearby so shipping won't be as high and with the dealer you get a better price. www.htturbo.com go to dealers.

Sure can have too much injector. 6x16's will make about the same power as 6x18's, but anything bigger will make less power.

Sounds like you got it figured out. Get the s3 now, then use it for twins later, that's what I'm doing with my s3.

Bill; your lucky I'm not as sensitive as your buddy Stomp.

I have been told mine are close to a 5x14 and I have dynoed 422 Diesel only uncorrected @ 4500' elevation.
Have been thinking about some Budda's but I think 6x16 would be too big even for me. Maybe 6x14?

A word to all; If someone wants to swap me some 5x16, 6x14 or 6x16 for my "sissies" for a short testing period, PM me.

Source Automotive would probably be your cheapest HTT turbo.

1st gen injectors have a lower pop off pressure around 3550psi (245 bar).
2nd gens are around 3800 psi (262).
If it runs, it will run very poorly.

My bad, when you were talking "Gen", I thought you were refering to evolved generation EDM injectors for a First generation motor. Now I see you are refering to the motor when using Gen. I didnt know a second gen. inj. would fit into a first gen motor. But from my post count, you can see I am new to the cummins.

Anyhow, the injectors will be specifically made for the 1st. gen. motor. I think they are 9mm bodies??

9mm bodies fit non-intercooled trucks.
7mm bodies for 91.5-98 12 valves.
I'm sure there are other differences too that I have not listed.
