Wow, that's really impressive! I only asked where your pods came from because some guys get flow-matched sets from Piers and the like, where others save a few bucks on e-bay units.

well, compared to what this setup should be capable of, i'm just not that impressed yet. i think it'll come around though, once i can just sit on a dyno for a day and try all the things i've been thinking about.

Looks like the power started to cut out or die out because of lack of fuel on the top end with the stock lift pump. You can see this because of the 'notchy' line around 3000-3200. Either you or the dyno operator let off around 3200 or that '4000' gov spring ain't doing no better than a 3200 gov spring. The 366 spring will or I should say it should fuel to 3200.

It's been proven over that the ebay POD's make good power and are good units. I had them, no way I'm gonna pay another 100 bucks for a set. You think they really reshimmed them Lucas injectors and got them all even??

thanks for the info bgilbert a guy on cummins forum pointed out the torque dropping off quick but couldnt tell me why. so the next step will be a different lift pump. the first couple of runs i took it to 3400 but felt like to much then noticed on the dyno sheet i was just wasting time effort and achieving nothing.

I think it's normal for the torque curve to fall off. More fuel on the top end will net you a little more hp/torque. Plus it will help your injection pump live longer. Since it's lubed by fuel alone the more you can supply it (volume) the longer it will live. Here's my 450hp dyno sheet in my gallery: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...0&ppuser=33726.
