Dual Diaphram Vacuum Pump ???
My 89 engine has a dual diaphram vacuum pump.
One on the side and one on the bottom.
I removed the bottom diaphram and there is no push-rod/actuatting-rod in its bore. This is the first time the pump has ever been off the engine.
The bottom diaphram has just been going along for the ride all these years.
Has anyone else ran into this situation??
Do all these trucks have dual-diaphram pumps; or is this an option??

Try Dodge, if not get a remanned vacuum pump. I think the diaphragm pumps go for a little under $200 - cheap compared to the rotaries on intercooled trucks!
Or just run with it. If it's been making enough vacuum to run the HVAC system and the brakes for this long, I guess it can limp along a little longer.
