dual batteries and grid heaters
Hi everybody,
Yesterday i installed dual batteries on my 92'. The old battery was giving up the ghost and i felt it was needed. I have a question on the grid heaters. How long should the grid heaters cycle? Its been around lo 50's here and i notice they cycle for around 5 minutes or so. Is that normal or is it too much? It did this with the old battery and i think its what killed it. Even if i come home and leave 5 minutes later they will cycle for the same amount of time. Just wondered what others have had happen. Thanks

5 minutes is about right. I'm in 5th gear doing 60 when mine quit cycling.
They shouldn't be cycling on a warm engine. I'd throw a air temp sensor at it.
