Down on power and boost

Yesterday I took my buddy for a ride in my truck and it wasnt as powerful as it has been. I didnt notice how much boost I was making but the egt gauge was pinned at 1500. I usually gotta work to get it over 1300 and it hit 1500 in third gear. Like I said though it wasnt really going anywhere. Tonight when I came home from work it wouldnt shut off again. I reshaped the tip on the FSS but I guess it didnt hold up. I wasn't beating on it or anything just driving normal. Then tonight I noticed it was only making 20 psi of boost instead of the usual 30 psi. There isn't any real smoke like I have a boost leak so what else could cause it. Fp is 13 psi at WOT so that isn't it. Could the FSS have messed up something else? Sorry for the long post.

boost leak, look at the hoses, evidence of leaking is obvious loose clamps, vapor trail lines, darker than the tube, exiting the hose.

first off, the shutdown solenoid continues to fail because of the pump being turned up and the stock injectors being so small. although, if you don't have stock injectors, it doesn't say so in your sig, so i'm only guessing.

if the rubber tip keeps breaking apart, you could be collecting pieces of it inside the deliver valves of the pump or it's possible they could've made it all the way to your injectors.

I do have stock injectors. I will look for boost and exhaust leaks in the daylight tomorrow. If the rubber made it to the injectors can I clean them out or do I have to send them out to be repaired. I have the pull cable so I think I am just going to gut the FSS for now. I have a new FSS but there is no sense putting more rubber pieces in the system.

It should be ok I just put it in I only have about 800 miles on it but I will check that as well. Just seems like its not getting any more fuel past 1/2 throttle. From 1/2 to full throttle there isn't much difference. I didn't get to look at it today cause of work but I will look at it for sure tomorrow. Dave I think I remember you saying in a post somewhere that there are screens in the injector, is that true or do I have something mixed up?

Has your throttle linkage maybe loosened up somehow?

The rubber chunks are probably in the delivery valves. You can take 'em off one by one, take them apart and clean them out if you are worried. Just don't mix parts between DV's.

I recommend the simple things first,Hows your fuel filter? it's probably worth changing, I have also had trouble with them leaking after being changed. Also is air filter clean? probably not it though it usually smokes when stopped up.

The fuel filter only has 1,000 miles on it and my gauge is after the filter and it is holding 13psi @wot so I dont think it is a fuel filter. The air filter is only about 6,000 miles old but I will give that a check. I am going out now to look at it.
