Recently I had a autobody do some welding on my drivers lower door hinge mounting point. It was pooched out and the door wouldn't shut worth a crap. Anyway, he mentioned that the door strikers should have "plastic" wrapped around them and that it would help the doors shut/latch. Mine were worn away and all steel. I bought a couple from Dodge and sure enough the passenger door shuts much better now. I'm still screwing with the drivers door though.

The doors are thin, save yourself a bit of headache in future and place a small plate in side the door after getting rin of the distortion by the hinge. And if you need to adjust the body side hinge its a real pita, you'll need take the plastic kick panel out to access the bolts.
