Door pin bushing???

Door pin bushing???
When our doors get to saging at hte pin hinges, do they have bushings, brass or steel ? Has any one replaced theirs, i;v done some on older trucks before,but not dodges.

Yes they do, they are oil soak brass/bronze bushings. So when you get them you need to soak them in oil so it gets in the poors of the bushing for better life span. They are simple to do, and since you have some previous exposure to doing them they should be simple to do. Have fun!

I'v seen pin and bushing kits at O'Reillys before for prety cheap, but they might be the same ones autozone carries... I need to fix my doors one of these days, they're cracked around the hinges

Regardless of where you buy them, they will most likely be DORMAN/HELP brand.
The NAPA ones might possibly be different.
I think possibly that most of the fitment issues are caused by the job being put off so long until the actual holes in the steel hinges gets all out of shape.
I know that several of the body-shop men around here keep a whole lot of various diameter bushings and often ream the old holes to a bigger size, sometimes even using larger diameter pins.
The NAPA ones might possibly be different.
I think possibly that most of the fitment issues are caused by the job being put off so long until the actual holes in the steel hinges gets all out of shape.
I know that several of the body-shop men around here keep a whole lot of various diameter bushings and often ream the old holes to a bigger size, sometimes even using larger diameter pins.

I did mine with the NAPA ones and a floor jack. If you wiggle it right you only have to unbolt the side on the door to get to the bushings. The flanges were worn off mine, they don't close like a dream but they are pretty good now.
