Not an expert by any means, but I do know more than most.
I have a similar truck, 92 W350 single wheel. Should have a dana 60 in the back, but that i'm not sure of.
The trans should be an A518 overdrive auto, gas version of the trans. Came out earlier for the gas trucks.
T-case is a NP205 with 23 spline input, same as used behind a cummins with an auto.
Engine is most likely a throttle body injected 360.
Steering box should be the same.
Anything else you need to know.

It's a W350 Bill so i don't think it can be a 318.
I know in 92 and 93 the 318 went to MAGNUM fuel injection....would about the 360's though? This truck could have a 360 Magnum in it which is a rare find in a 1st gen. By "Magnum" I mean the Sequential Multi-Port fuel injection instead of the old 2 barrel throttle body system which is still electronic computer controlled but the Multi-Port 360's run their butt off.
Can you post up a pic of the engine crewcabxlt ?
If it has the overdrive button above the heater controls, Then it's a 518. I'm not sure if they offered a 727 in 93 but if they did. YOu'll know because there will be no O/D button over the heater control in the message center.
A couple years ago we had a 92 D250 w/ a 318 Multi-Port/A518 Trans and a 3.90 geared 10.25 rear and it was incredibly quick.. Had like 56k miles on it.
IIRC, On the white sticker under the hood. Instead of saying "Spicer 60" rear it actually said Chrysler 10.25....But that may be a D250 thing. A W350 may have a D60 in the rear.........Chances are though it has the same D60 up front that diesel trucks used.

According to the MOPAR mags, the 360 didn't get "magnumized" til 94, just the 318. And they did put the 318 in the 1-tons. They put the 3.9 v6 in the 3/4 tons, too. When they changed the body style in 94, the 318 was available in the heavier trucks, and they said that they expected the 2500 with the 318 and 5 speed to be their best seller. I found an old Motor Trend while cleaning a couple years ago, it said that they were also working on a 2-stroke engine for the Neon.

ok-thanks for replies , i got the truck- its a 91 carburated, non o/d trans. so i guess its a 727 trans. it was a utility truck so it was ordered with a dana 60 front i guess. im glad the t-case will work behind a cummins with a 518. body is hammered.
