Dodge factory west coast mirrors
I know dodge made the steel west coast mirrors that were usually white, but did they ever offer a stainless set.
Does anyone have any nice sets of them for sale as well. Thanks Dominic

Ya, they used nice looking West Coast Jr. mirrors, but i can tell you that if your doors were not original to them that you better add a stiffener plate to the insdie of the door where the lower mounts go. Dodge sheetmetal is thin & flimsy and 12 valves do tend to shake JUST A BIT. It's Like trying to see in the rear view of a harley hard mount. Problem is it fatiques the metal real quick. The factory used threaded nutserts and that is a lot easier to deal with than having to Nut them from the inside. Any decent body shop should havea nutsert installer. If you laid out the holes and predrilled them they could pop them in seconds. I think they used those mirrors prior to 1987 when they started using Dumbo ear chrome ones.
All the earlier ones i have are stainless. You can paint stainless KRB iif rough it up and spray with stching primer first, at least they will never ruat under the paint. ;-)

Are you talking about the towing mirrors that have 4 legs to the door below the window or true West Coast type mirrors that attach above the window as well?
Most of the 70's & early 80's I've seen were painted while after that were SS.

I have one set on a '89 W-350 Cab and chaissis, another on a '93 W350 dually.
I have never seen a set on a W-250, so I am guessing it was a Dually option.
