Dodge cracked frame fix
Hey all,
I have been using this forum as a resource for info on my new dodge purchase for a while. Finally made an account to document sleeving/reinforcing my frame where that nightmare of frame cracking/bracket breaking steering box issue comes into play. I have already installed a high steering kit from WFO and the reinforcement kicker brace to the inside of the frame to front crossmember.

This thread was very helpful and after looking at Jungles weld in brace I have decided rather than plating the inside of the frame I am going to attempt to pull the fender/steering box off to sleeve the entire frame with C-channel from the outside. More to come but just throwing this one out there in case I am missing any obvious issues. I understand thickness of the c-channel will move the steering box out but the hope is cutting the dimples out of the frame will allow the flat inside portion of the channel to lie flush against the frame. Where the frame arches up I am hoping to get dimensions on a protractor and have a short piece of channel run up the frame as well. Anyone with any helpful input is appreciated. I will be posting pictures in 2 weeks when this starts. Thanks everyone!

update
C channel was a bit ambitious so went ahead and plated it. heres some photos of the crack and what I did. OVERKILL may be a good way to describe it. hopefully wont have to worry about it anymore.
