I know most of the local first gens around here. There are some nice ones too. But there is this red early one that has a small lift and a camper shell that had to have been painted at the same time as the truck {fairly recently}I don't have a picture sadly. I see this truck about once every month.

I know there are a lot of us out there tell us about your favorite.

There is a guy who used to post on here a lot. He had several 1st gens, and his most recent acquisition was a MINT / LIFTED with 38's / all black / reg cab 92 or 93 that was so sweet. He bought it off Ebay, and put it in storage. That truck was freaking awesome. Barely any miles on it, and set up just beautifully. Not one speck of rust anywhere. His other 1st gen he sold (tri color blue / silver / grey) because it was a mechanical drain on him, as it had lots of issues he didn't want to deal with any longer. He was retired, and he had the cash to buy...

He disappeared, and so, I guess, did that truck.

Can't remember his name, for the life of me...

next would be our frankenstein project..... Moonshine.

Well, at least I may get to see how that one turns out...

That was Bill DC, he was banned over a argument with the mods. He still posts over on the "other" site. I agree, it is a beautiful truck

You're right..... it was an extended cab....

nitpicker !!!

I agreee with the green dually choice you've posted as well.

For this thread to be effective, there should have been a list generated by the OP of trucks to choose from. At least with that, we wouldn't have to just go from our old, middle aged memories...

One of my favorites was Papecat's '72 crew cab with a NON I/Ced 12V with a HE-351 turbo on it.
The one that was marshmallow white, with the green short bed for a while.
Then he used a bunch of teal blue fenders and doors on it from a donor crew.
It was sharp and cool with the 5 speed , 2 speed overdrive box of some kind, and all.
He sold it a few years back and the new owner totaled it.

Billdc's black one and 1stgenfarmboy's are my top 1st gens.

Well I just thought about it and gyman98's Fargo would probably be my favorite, beautiful crew cab.

Thanks guys, my favorites are Bills and gymans crew, that thing is beautiful.

I watched Bills truck sell on e-bay, it had a bunch of very high quality zoomable photos, I drooled over it for a week showing everybody that would look.... the bad thing about Bills truck is it is sooooooo nice it would be hard for me to use it on the farm like I do my truck.
