Dipstick ?
For the engine oil dipstick any body know anything that i can use dodge has to order one and it will be a week or 2 anybody know anything else i can use or maybe even the total length and lenght from bottom to full mark thx

I just picked up and installed a new one from Cummins last night ~$22.
36-7/8" from the bottom to the point where it seats on the DS tube
33-1/4" from the top "safe" mark to the point where it seats on the DS tube
34-1/4 from the "add" line the point where it seats on the DS tube
36-7/8" from the bottom to the point where it seats on the DS tube
33-1/4" from the top "safe" mark to the point where it seats on the DS tube
34-1/4 from the "add" line the point where it seats on the DS tube

I would think you could fashion one out of some 1/16" welding rod. But that may not be long enough since I think they are around 36" long. But it's good and flexy to go around the bend. Maybe if you just join a small piece to the end. Don't know what you do about a handle and stopper.
