diesel minivan
Just wondering if I can fit a small diesel (4bt) in a minivan?
I just found out that I'm going to be a daddy again
I dont want to get rid of my truck but it wont hold all of us.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
I need to get another job.

Don't see much of a chance of that. All very small engine compartments made for transversly mounted engines with FWD. Alot of MVs require you to lift the van off the engine/trans to even get it out with the stock setup.
Some relatives had caravan that the engine compartment was so tight that you had to remove the passengers tire and innner wheel well to get at the battery
The right gasser MV gets good milleage anyway.

Get a Dodge 250 Conversion Van, We picked one up at an auction for 1800 and its pretty cool, 4 front captain chairs fully rotationable and a full 6ft wide sofa that turns into a bed in the back. Thing is the engines pretty tall, same height as a regular 5.9 Cummins, so good luck getting that beast plus a engine stand in there.

by the way, Dodge is coming out with a diesel minivan.
Last month I went on a roadcall, My friend and I had to repair a carhauler. the carhauler had a load of prototype vehicles from Dodge, they were coming back from a proving grounds in Utah. We had to remove the diesel minivan to weld the broken part of the carhauler. We talked the driver into a ride in the minivan, it ran quite strong and he said its suppose to get over 40 MPGs. It had an awsome stereo, and some high tech GPS computor in it.
Just a little tidbit of info

1) get a Sprinter, (~28MPG ~$30000) in case family keeps growing
2) get a used VW-TDI transporter (~35mpg ~$10000) from Canada I've seen a few brought into the USA, some made into camper conversions 5 cyl is pretty smooth, and very popular in most places I travel in world (except usa)
