DE down pipe

Ok, I have tried to find pics but I am a bit irritated. I ordered a DE 4" kit for my 92 W350. I received and proceded to remove my factory/Banks kit. When I started to install the section that went around the tranny/t-case it came up a good 8" short to meet up to the downpipe. I called DE and they told me it might have been cut wrong. I told them in looking at the downpipe on my RC conversion it seemed a good 6-8" shorter. They said they would send me another. Well guess what. It showed up today and its just as long as the first one. I am in a pickle as I think I will go ahead and mount the rest of the exhaust and buy a small piece of flex pipe to feel the void. Has anyone else has this issue. I tried to find pics of people who had fitment issues with the front end. Mine seems fine in the department. Its just not long enough. I wonder what the 2wd down pipe looks like? I wonder if they have them tagged wrong? Thanks, just had to vent.

Well I went to Napa and bought a section of 4" pipe. Had to buy it 18" long and cut off what I needed. I know not a big deal but when you buy a complete kit you shouldnt have to spend another $30 in pipe. Well I cant complain to much as the rest of the kit fits nicely. With the addition of a new Mopar 4" diesel tip it looks as good as it sounds. I also purchased 5 brand new band clamps instead of using the clamps sent with the kit. Just to ease my mind for leaks plus incase I want to remove down the road. All I can say is that with the addition of the 16cm exhaust housing and the 60mm compressor upgrade it really woke up the truck. With the ASA intake the sound of the whistle even at low idle is nice! It runs awesome!!! The only bad thing I can say is that I wish I would have done it yrs ago. Just like when I did the nv4500 swap. I even finally added my RH rear bumper. I hated the texas chrome thing that was on it, LOL

Looks good, I agree, if your like me when you take on a project you want things to go as smooth a possible, that's a huge obstacle. I'm usually short on time and don't have the tools like torches and welders . Did I say looks really nice, like your upgrades by the way.

Thank you Autocar. I work hard for my money, I try to spend it on quality parts. When I spend good money I expect it to fit correctly. I have owned this dually since 04. I have done everything but the gauges. All the hard work is paying off. I LOVE THIS TRUCK. It compliments my Cummins RC nicely

If it is its a mere inch or so. Not the total of 8" of difference that I had to add.

I like your deer pusher. Where'd you get it?

Almost everything I've owned has mushy grill work from pushing on the deer herd. Haven't tapped one with the CTD .........yet. I need a bumper for the task.

Got it from a guy around here. He bought it/made it and never used it. I gobbled it up.
