Question Are DDP4's going to be enough or should I order some larger???

The Scheid VE Pump, Aurora 4000, HG, and head studs are all ordered and on the way. In my search for the first 12 second 5 speed first gen, will the DDP4 injectors be large enough or should I go ahead and get a different set? They have made some good power with a junk VE and should do even better with the built one. I think anyway.

Any of the pro's know if this will be enough, or will I need larger ones? I dont want the monster 6x16's that are popular. They just seem way to overfueled.

yes 14mm, but not with the 4mm cam plate. Its built just like the 12mm pump is, but with the 14mm head.

Minimum 6x16's if you want it to last. ddp4's are way too small.

Minimum? I thought those things put out a ton of fuel! How about some 5x16 or 5x18?

Need to get the fuel to and from the 14mm as efficiently and quickly as possible. Never heard of a 14mm VE that didn't have at least 6x16's. 6x16's are gonna run cleaner than 5x18 lol. The stock I/C piston was designed for a 6 hole Injector

DDP can hone your injectors, give them a call.

No on DDPs. Low Budget Diesel Performance or SDX is the way to go!

I've looked at the LBPD injectors and they look nice. The DDP4 are just 4 hole injectors. I could just order some new 6x16 tips to put on these injectors right? They only have about a thousand miles or so on them. And I sold the stock ones already.

Are you sure the DDP’s you have only have 4 holes? I think most of the DDP injectors are 5 holes. DDP can make whatever size you want. You can also send you’re injectors in and have them honed out some more. It would probably be cheaper than buying another set.

Just for comparison

My honed 370's are 5X13 (70-lmp) Made 600+hp
My DDP 4's are 5X14 (72-lpm) Made 600+hp Sent them back to DDP and had them honed out to 5X16 (76-lpm) Made 600+hp.
I also have a set of 5X28 (100-lpm) that have made over 600+hp.

My last set of injectors that I have is honed 185's that measure out to 5x10. I haven’t done any testing with them to see what they are capable of doing. When I put my 12mm pump back on I might throw them in there to see what kind of power they might make.

You may be right on the 5 hole. I just know they are 55lpm. So maybe 4x13 or so? 600whp should be all I'd need. So 5x16's can flow enough to get me there.

Thanks for all the great info!!!

my ddp4 injectors are 4 hole as well. I was told DDP did have some 4 hole ddp4 injectors, but that most were 5 hole.

I'd prefer not to buy a whole new set of injectors again since these are basicaly still new. Can I just get 70+lpm tips made to put on?
