Dashboard paint... ?
Has anyone painted (restored) their Dashboard? Mine is kinda scratched up and I'd really like to redo it if it isn't a waste of time. I want something that won't scratch off.

Auto paint stores cary a spray dye that does wonders on plastic. Have used it to change the color on the wifes toyota dash and exterior plastic parts and it worked good. does not scratch off.

You can use vinyl paint to do it. I painted my door panels, if you tell me the year of your truck and what color your interior is. I can give you a Dupont code & you can go to someplace that sells Dupont paint. They can mix it for you. I mixed my own, I have the mixing bank. sorry I can't send you some through the mail, EPA regulations etc. or I would be happy to do so.

Ouchman, here's the dupont code for charcoal C8439 (chrysler code CS8) if it's the DARK charcoal C8824 (chrysler code HA8) mine 90 had the first one. If you can't find a dupont retailer you can take the Chrysler code to a paint store & they can mix you PPG or some other brand. Hope that helps you. Just make sure you clean the dash real good before spraying it, you may have to use a plastic cleaner. If you need anything else give me a holler.
