cut off wires that drop beside my lift pump
well since i got the truck i wonderd what these 2 wires were that came down beside my fuel lift pump, they seem to come from the side of the head and drop down below here but were cut off for some reason, i believe my uncle cut them when he did the head gasket when he owned it, anyway here is a picture sorry i couldent get where the wires came off of due to it being to dark and me guessing where it was, anyway anyhelp would be good and also where would they hook up to? i was thinking mabe they warm fuel up?

Fuel heater or KSB maybe. Hard to tell from that pic.
Look in the sticky under "What are those wires doing on my mechanical engine" thread. Good pics there and labels for everything.

as far as i can tell from looking at what is hanging there in your picture, its either your air temperature sensor, which is what kicks on your grid heaters, but if your grid heaters are working fine, then i guess it would be your your ksb for cold start, i think it also reads the air temp like a thermometer and kicks the cold start in for ya.
if i remember right, they are both located on the firewall side of your heater grids.
the intake temp sensor is to the left of your fuel lines, and the ksb sensor is located to the right of the fuel lines....someone correct me if im wrong
but seeing the blue and red wires wants to make me almost say for 100 percent sure that its the grid heater temp sensor?
