You can get teh 29 spline input shaft for the np205, it is just expensive.. Look at this site. The PN is qk2001

Thanks this will help me out, I just bought a nv4500 and bell housing shifter clutch cylinders and adapter housing, it all came out of a 95 RAM cummins and the guy said h3 swapped out the 29 spline for 23 so hope it should work out. Any ideas on drive shaft mod or crossmember problems?

You won't regret the NV4500. It's a much better transmission than the Getrag. I have beat on, speed shifted (including at the drag strip) and generally worked the tar out of my NV4500 and only had one incident when I lost the pilot bearing. Getrag's seem like they are looking for an excuse to trash a bearing.

driveshaft mods cost me $289.- for front and rear, so a little short of $15.- a piece by a specialized shop.
