Just go to your dealer and they will have it, I have the part number for the tappet cover but not sure if its different between 2nd and 1st gen trucks.

for some reason its always a pain to get them to find the parts that I need??

No I just bought the gasket, my cummins dealer is good(actually Cummins dealer) I just tell them year of engine and they find the parts had no issues.
