cruise creep
My cruise control will "creep up" in speed, if not going uphill.
Downhill, or on level, it will gain about 10 mph in 30 sec., and continue to climb!!
This started after a transmission swap (A-518 to Getrag).
I am VERY happy with the swap otherwise. But with summer
camping and travel season coming up, the cruise would be nice.
A couple of points---
1. The automatic had a 3-wire speed sensor, and the 5-speed
has a two wire.
2. I removed the tps. Is an input needed from that for proper
cruise control operation???
Any thoughts or suggestions???
thanks,
Bob

yes, you have to have a TPS for cruise control from what I understand. As I understand, that's why most 5spd trucks didn't get cruise, since otherwise none of that stuff was put on the truck
