crossover tube

I know most of you guys run cooler tubs, I was just wondering if anyone has tried these,

I'll be getting one or the other in a few weeks. What do you guys think?

What's the difference between that and the stock tube?

Looks bigger- more space to fill and pressurize before pushing the air into the manifold. Which is where the back-up really is in these things anyhow.
I'd think that it would cause some noticeable turbo lag unless you're set up for really big HP numbers like JQM.

I never thought about that. I just figured more air was better. I don't plan on high h.p. numbers. I see a lot of guys running bigger crossovers without a lot of mods, and I figured it was something I should do to take advantage of a bigger intake. Now ya got the wheels spinning lol. Another thing to investigate.

That is not Tim's Cooler Tubz.
This is another company making them.
I bought the last NON I/Ced crossover tube in stock from Tim about 6 months ago.

I made something similar for my 4bt, definitely made a difference, it wont hurt spoolup, and gives more cfm, lowered egts, crossover pipe was smaller than 6bt pipe.

I think if you could drill and tap the top of the manifold and crossover tube, to put tubes between the two points, and some of the air toward the outboard cylinders, would probably do more than a larger crossover.

I guess you're right. The website is still up and running, and appears to still be in production, but there's no option to purchase. Sure does tease a guy. Maybe I should quit doing concrete and buy some fabrication tools.

Tim's shop [Cooler Tubz] closed up 6 months or so ago.
I talked him for a while one day about business, when I ordered that last crossover tube he had in stock.

This new company that is making there own style of 3 inch crossover might just be back ordered on them for a bit.
I have not dealt with or used any of there products.
