that is a very nice looking crew cab. i like the bird bath hood. i was trying to get one for my truck but haven't had much luck finding one. i also wouldn't mind getting a crew cab but can't afford one even if i found one. got stop spending so much money on my current trucks. my money never seems to go that far.

I believe they didn't chnage much from the 70's up to the 80's.
Also be aware that putting a bird bath hood on a 91-93 truck with an Intercoler will cause you some grief. Only reason mine went as well as it did was due to me using my Non-IC radiator, on the IC rad support. If Ihad not done this then I would have had to cut the under side if the hood to clear the rad, and the upper rad supports.

Dead wipers
My wipers quite last week on my crewcab...89 wiring. But my problem was in the wiper control on the turn signal stock. It's been rattling, and making odd clicking sounds, and would wipe erraticly, been like this for a couple years now. I knew it would die eventually, but never took any steps to prevent it either.
I have a spare steering column, from a 90/91, with the same wiper control. So I figured I'd use that. Swapped it out yesterday ....and nothing!! I thought maybe it was the wiper motor. So I pulled the motor and tested it...no problems there. So I pulled the new'er stuff back out and compared the old vs the new. Turns out the wiring for the 90/91 is a bit different. Plugs are the same, actual control stock is exactly the same...save for a couple wire that are a different color...but the whole wiring system is set up differently.
Last night I decided to cut and paste my two systems. Use the new'er control stock, and the old wiring. Carefully made sure to match all the wires to the proper connections, and solderd them all together. Will try installing it this morning...hope for the best.

Well here is a pic of the joining of the two harnesses....
I installed it, as I said earlier, and nothing worked. But you could hear the intermittent relay cycling, and power clicking into the system. SO I pulled the wiring out again and double checked my connections....yup everything was exactly how it should be. So after that I re-install the wiring and decided to check the plug at the wiper motor. I was getting power to the plug, from different location depending on if it was intermittent wipe or not. And the washer fluid pump was working...so I figured it had to be the wiper motor.
So even though I had pulled the motor last night and it cycled fine, I decided to use a spare motor I had. Although this one had a different wiring connector so i couldn't plug it in...but I had snagged 6" of wiring with it so I was able to make a jump to the wiring in the truck. And if your doing this don't forget the external ground. So i hook everything up, power it up and the motor works perfectly. So this was the problem.
So onto Rockauto to find an interchange list...then out to the wreckers...grabbed an almost new one from a 91 Plymouth Voyager. Came home and hooked it up first off with the jump wires...and everything worked!! SO out came the old motor...then swap over the new motor onto the base plate from the truck, then re-install. I now have wiper again!!

Just for the record...here is the interchange list from Rockauto for our 1st Gen's....
Now remember this is just the motor...not the mounting flange, or the swing arm. But easy enough to swap. 7/16 wrench to pop the swing arm off, then peal back the insulation, 3 more 7/16 bolts and the motor pops off. Then Re/Re and your done.
One other thought though...make sure you try and hold the motor in the "park" position while your doing this. I used a cresent wrench on the swing arm to hold it in place while I tightened/loosened the nut holding it in place.
