As J. Said, the grounds are critical for everything to work properly. Pretty sure the ground at the top rear of the engine to firewall and the negative cable off the battery where it meets the engine are always gunked up, and need cleaning. Put an extra ground or two, as Mark said, as it will help narrow it down. Once all the grounds are clean, if you still have issues, time to clean the main fuse panel above the brake pedal, and inspect the fusable links. They can cause the issues as well.
