Cracked a Injector line, and welded it... Bigger lines this time?
So I found a fuel leak, cracked line, so I removed it from the truck, and had a friend tig weld it. He did a bang-up job on it, and it got me 3 hours home, but I'm thinking I should replace them all now..... PDP in Marshfield, Wi (near my current residence) wants $340 for stock scheid lines, or $380 for .078, .084, or .093 oversized STAINLESS lines. I still have stock injectors, and don't plan on upgrading for some time. Will oversize lines do anything for me, or will they hurt anything if I just upgrade them now anticipating bigger injectors?
Thanks Guys!

From what I have been told there is no real need for larger lines untill you get into a bigger pump. Like a 14mm VE or 13mm P pump. This is just what I have been told, but I ask people who do the work, not sell the parts.
Also stainless lines are more prone to cracking from what I have seen / heard.
I would almost suspect there was a vibration/ rubbing problem.

Fatigue life on stainless may not be as good as the steel tubing. Also, stainless is tough to weld without adding stress. This can happen as it is welded into tubing. What is the OD and the wall thickness of the line?

I don't know. It's looking like stock lines though... Yeah I'm missing a clamp, and I was told that that's my problem. Any place i can get more clamps?

Ha Ha, yeah I meant vibes from a missing support clamp.
You can get them through Cummins. They are a little proud of them.It adds up when you have to buy each individual piece.

yeah I'm missing a few clamps. They grew legs and ran away when I put a new head gasket in. I honestly don't know where those stupid things went!
It looks like I', buying a set of stock lines from my cousin though.
