Is this the correct piston pump?
Hi guys,
ordered a piston fuel pump with the part#3936320 from the sticky. I got the pump today and the part number is#4944714. Is this an updated part number, or did they make a mistake? If its not meant for the ve pump, does any one know what its for? Can I use it anyway with some sort of fuel regulator? thanks for any help!

What Was Wrong With The Old Part Number ???
I can't see any intelligence in constantly changing part numbers.
You would think a company smart enough to develop an engine as good as the Cummins would have enough sense to leave part numbers alone.
Such as that is what causes costly mistakes and un-necessary trips back and forth to the parts counter.
