It's been a few months since I've been one the site. I have been buried in making parts and modding to do some pretty serious sled pulling. I took this photo Saturday before I ran the truck for the first time and the little VE really surprised some of the super street diesel competitors as it hooked steady and wound to 3800 rpm without a glitch. The hybrid really kicked the smoke up there via the hood exit stack. Best part is all of the components are bolt on and the truck can go from street to puller in 2 hours!

I have to rework my hitch so I don't have to flip a drop receiver. I need a much larger fuel line, filters, and pump than I have now and I don't think the little walbro 392 is going to make the grade. Dual stage water is going to be a band aid EGT fix until I get alot more turbo/PS intercooler. Any body know how to make spray nozzles? So, I guess I'm back to work as I might hook again in 2 weeks.

Thanks, I need all the luck in the world right now. It's all for fun....but, there are two duramax's in particular that I am chasing, I'm surprisingly close, sure would be neat to out pull them on the old mechanical pump that everyone told me to throw away.

I think you can make the Walbro work fine. You just have to put the bypass after the filter. My little 391 won't drop below 15 psi, and my setup was capable of pulling the piston pump down under 5 psi.

I was thinking a walbro 392 for the street and a monster 4.4 GPM @20 psi (non transportation) pump to run when hooked to the sled er...., playing around. I need alot of fuel as I'm running a pretty "proud" gear and hitting 3800 rpm under load.
