I am looking at a 93 with 137k on it. The exterior is very sound and hardly no rust only a few spots on the lowest parts of the one quarter panel.

My first question, it has a problem with the tps it shifts in and out of OD at certain speeds is this a big concern? I have read the the "how to" on how to adjust it, should this resolve the problem? the owner says it is worse when it is wet out. The trans was rebuilt (seen the paper work) 10,000 so i don't think it is anything internal.

Also, it leaks some oil (maybe a quarter size drop on the ground ground after a day or two) is this a huge concern?

Other than that it looks like and feels like a rock solid truck.

Worst case on the TPS is you will need a new one.

Where is the oil coming from? Front and rear crank seals are common spots, as is the vacuum pump.

It sounds like a decent truck to me.

he said around the rear main, i did not craw under it to look beings that there was not much. There was a little oil in front of the transfer case area. sorry i don't know all the technical terms for all the parts.

i also seen on the records for the trans rebuild that tps was replaced...maybe replaced but it needs to be readjusted again.
