Talking Coil springs are in

Den came up and helped me out (Thanks Den) we replaced the upper control arm bushings, the strut rod bushings and the coil springs (TRW 7226s) brought my front end up about 3 inches my truck looks and rides 100% better when i hook up my scanner I'll post some before and after pics. the springs were cake the strut rod bushings were cake BUT the freakin upper control arm bushings were a BIG pain in the butt, once we figured the trick on one side the other side wasnt too bad, Im gonna put 2 inch blocks in the rear because the front sits higher now. Next I've gotta figure out why I lost horsepwr checked my boost seems to be ok I did the pressure test cause I dont have guages yet but it just aint pullin like it should and lost its zip when running empty. Oh yeah replaced the fuel filter too, any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

The TRW CS7226 springs I bought have a flattened end on one side. The TRW 7226S springs that Clint bought had whole uncut coils on each end. What was the exact part number Clint?

I got 19 MPG round trip and that was with me playing around..especially when the 05 CTD 1 ton passed me at 75 like I was parked and I mashed it, caught up and rolled up next to him at __ mph to let em know the first gens at no slow pokes

I woke up today with some lower back pain..wonder why Went to work and decided it wasn't working and took an easy day today.

Sure would like to see those before-and-after shots, Clint. They should settle a whole lot of discussions we've seen here.

Regards, DBF

coil spring part #'s

I ordered the 7226S springs and 7226 were the ones they gave me, I inspected them and , yes, you're right they do have a flattened end on one side, and when I took them back and exchanged them for the 7226S I have now, I noticed that they do have a full coil on both ends... How long did the spring install take? did you just lower the arm, and out they popped or...? I did some coil springs on my MBZ 300D and they were a PAIN!!
