Were all or most of the lugs backed off, or did all of the studs shear off? Good to hear that no one got hurt. Do you have stock or aftermarket wheels?

Rox did you end up ordering the 9/16" studs (upgrade) instead of the factory 1/2"? The 9/16" stud will give you an extra 2 threads for your nut; I found the stock studs with aftermarket rims just doesn't give alot of threads for my liking.

Here is what happened to me a little over a year ago when the tire shop forgot to torque the nuts after they put on my new tires on. Let's just say I was a little upset. Can't trust anyone to do anything right anymore, I was only 15 miles from the tires shop. Lucky I didn't roll the truck, this could have been a serious accident if it happened on the highway, we had to chain and boomer it on to the tow truck cause she wanted to roll over. Look how far the tire went!

The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. Its a real funny feeling having a tire that is supposed to be on the truck pass you... I ended up needing new bearings, rotors, studs, rim, tire, and caliper.

happened to me several years ago, right after puting white spokes on my 78. I had went to indy, for a monster truck pull, on my way home, I started feeling a vibration, when I stoped to check it out, all but one nut, had came off, it ruined the rim, but I was able to rob a nut off the other three wheels, and made a slow drive home. The nuts weren't tight, on any of the wheels, the shop did me right, and replaced all studs and nuts and all four wheels.
