Cigarette Lighter Fuse

I looked in my cig lighter today, and saw a bunch of pennys, and i figured the fuse was blown. i hooked my gps up and i was right, its blown.

my question is, first where in the heck is the fues box on these trucks? anyone have pictures they can show me? also, how can i tell which fuse is blown? one more thing where can i buy a fuse for my truck and about how much will it all cost?

thanks for the help guys

It's right under the steering column. There's a small plastic plate with 4 screws holding it in place you can pull to get at it but you don't need to. just lay down on the floor and look up under the column. It pulls out a ways and it's labeled.

91 VE the fuses are maybe a buck. You can buy a package at Wal-Mart with an assortment of different amp fuses for cheap. Good luck.

Thanks for reminding me to do this. I forgot about it, but I suppose I should do it before SOP. If I get a chance, I'll snap a pic or two for you while I do it, incase you still aren't sure.

Is there anything else that may cause the cigarette lighter to quit, even if the fuse is good. I suspect mine is just corroded or something because it quit working, but I haven't used it in a VERY long time.

Mine went out because the wires were loose right behind the lighter

Ok. I don't know what happened, so I am just looking for ideas before I take everything apart.
