you need to switch the wires around. make sure the middle wire on the potentiameter is the same as the middle wire going to the plug, then the outside two just need to be flipped around.. Just takes a few min to get it dialed in..

Make Small Adjustments on the pot too...when you find the area that it works in you'll be fine....Mine works in the 9'clock position.

As DNRCustoms and Jet100 said, I would add make sure your pins actually do contact: that weatherpack thing is a little deep and if all 3 pins do not contact, it won't work.
On a side note, switching the side pins will switch the range of your **** from higher rpm to lower and vice versa. Mine worked from 9 to 2, with 9 switching to OD early and 2 later

The TPS is nothing more than a POT on our trucks that is controlled by the throttle...basically all we're doing is moving it inside the cab..... allows us to dial in the shift point of the O/D
Mine is set to shift at +/- 38 mph

So the pot is talking to the pcm and the pcm is taking in info from the speedo also. Then depending on where the pot is placed it just changes the speed at which the pcm sends the ground signal to the od unit for it to shift. Is that correct??

yup, pretty much! It does vary slightly with temp changes in the tranny. It will hold 3rrd gear a little longer when cold..Not so noticable now, but in the winter more so.
